Fresh, homely vegetarian food. Service was great, we went with two young children and it is very child friendly environment. There was a calm feel about the place almost like you were at mom's place! Dal, pakora and poories were very yummy

My favorite vegetarian restaurant in the country. Yes, COUNTRY! The food is amazing. I have been going here for ages and have never had a bad experience, ever! The portions are perfect, the food is delicious, the drinks are delicious and the staff friendly, warm, and unpretentious. How good is this place? I will spend round trip taxi from mid-town or upper east side to get a meal. Wherever you are in NYC, this place is worth your time.

Just left here. 10/10 Food and service! I had the Dahl soup and Samosa's. The soups flavor was soooo good. The Samosa could have been a little warmer but mmmmm so much flavor. I will def be going back. The guy who took my order was so nice and polite.

Please note - this restaurant is dedicated to the Sri Chinmoy organization. I am not part of the organization nor am I endorsing it. This review is ONLY about the food and my experience eating here. I stumbled across this spot and stopped in because I was curious about the food since it was vegeterian and I was on a no-meat cleanse. It's a bit inconspicuous so you may not even realize it's a restaurant from the outside. That being said, it seems to be a very popular vegetarian spot in the area and has a good variety of vegetarian Indian dishes as well as Western vegetarian dishes. The spot is midsized, with a good amount of seating. The staff were very friendly and helpful with questions about the dishes. I ordered a few items - vegetables pakora, bhajia, and the Annam Brahma dinner. I also tried their chai. Overall, the food wasn't too bad and was a good portion for the price. I loved the chai and also ordered a mango lassi, which was also very tasty. The pakora and bhajia were delicious and paired well with the sauce. The Annam Brahma dinner was filling although I wish it has a bit more seasoning. Overall, this is a good spot for vegetarian food if you're in the neighborhood and looking for a good vegetarian spot.

Great food. The people were really nice. Prepared with love and excitement, you can see the passion with which your food is made and served. The food itself is very close to home cooked indian food. Very simple food with plain ingredients. Nothing fancy, but leaves you feeling content. The ambiance is calming. I walked out feeling relaxed and refreshed. Would recommend this gem of a place to just about everyone

Food is delicious. Service is attentive. You really feel at peace when you eat there. Be mindful when you eat, and savor the meal! The portions aren't very big, but the quality is. Lunch special is a good way to start. Closed one day a week.

Very fresh & homemade... please be aware the food is not overly seasoned or salted compared to most Indian joints bc it's cooked very healthy... the potato onion cakes and steam chickpea/rice dumpling with coconut curry was crack, we order the curry dish and went with the curry veggies and chickpea/cauliflower curry and it was lovely... as was the Sambhar & Daal as soup starters... we left with both chocolate cakes to go and it was a great dessert after we....

Peace, healthy food, kind people, fills your soul not just the stomach! Food: The immunity tea served hot is delicious. Beyond burger is yummy too. The samosas are perfect. The spinach omelet is super tasty. Service was excellent. Location is easy to walk to and parking in the street is pretty good mid day Sat. Clean, beautiful decor and they sell cards, and things which is nice. Highly recommend this place for the conscious mind body and soul.
